Halifax, Nova Scotia

I'm currently in Halifax for repairs. The sail from Iceland was good, we went through four gales, with waves breaking over the boat. I'm glad she is made of steel. Three hundred miles out of St' John's Newfoundland the trim tab for the wind steering system came off. We were towed into St. Johns for repairs. From there to Halifax the deck was ripping up were the wires that hold the mast up connect. So that was re-welded and the fuel tank was drained and steam cleaned, as it had water and rust in it. Now I'm waiting on the injectors for the engine as they were frozen open and have to be rebuilt. That should be done by Tuesday. Then it's off to Lunenburg to meet John & Phyllis of S/V Morgan's Cloud (www.morganscloud.com). Then is off to the west hopefully Boston.
The pictures are a couple of visitors we had.

  1. Get ready to swelter! I'll give you a call when you get in the 'hood, as I go to Boston 1-3 days a week. Looking forward to hearing about your adventures!
